We
are an all volunteer, non-profit animal rescue group.
We are a
small group of volunteers that gives a second chance to homeless
and orphaned cats. We provide them with warmth, shelter, food,
water, and love. We give them all the medical care they need. We
keep them safe and prevent them from abuse. We work tirelessly
to match each and every one of them with a loving and permanent
home best suited for the animal and the pet owner.
We are dedicated to educating the
public concerning the issues of proper pet care and the
importance of spaying and neutering.
We are
HOPE for ANIMALS.
In
addition to rescuing animals from “kill shelters”, we also
receive numerous calls from the public asking for our assistance
to take in strays and/or kittens. We have pet owners calling us
to relinquish their cats because someone is allergic or they are
moving. We take in these animals as long as we have available
space. Since forming our group in the spring of 2004, we have
rescued and adopted out over 300 animals.
All
our animals are either fostered in volunteer’s homes or are
housed in the Adoption Room at Petsmart in Manalapan. For the
animals in Petsmart, we have three shifts of volunteers each day
that take care of all the cats in the adoption room, which
includes feeding, cleaning and socializing the cats.
All
of our animals are tested for leukemia and aids, treated for
fleas, worms, parasites and ear mites. All of our animals are
up to date with shots when they are put up for adoption, and if
old enough, are neutered.
In
addition to our rescue work, we are dedicated to educating the
public concerning the issues of proper pet care and the
importance of spaying and neutering. We receive many calls each
week from people needing information regarding low cost
neutering. We also work with people that need information and
assistance with trapping and neutering ferals. We promote TNR
(trap, neuter, return).
Our
fundraising efforts include selling items at street fairs, cat
and dog shows, and selling donated items at garage sales.
Unfortunately, our costs for food, litter, medicine and
veterinary care far exceed our fundraising. 100% of all
donations go directly for the care of our shelter animals.

“We find beauty in the most incomprehensible places and the
otherwise homely faces. It is our gift to see beyond the dirt,
terror, sadness and defeat to find the true soul that lies
within. We are rescue.”
